Craft project

Sister Stuart was our camp director. She thought of everything. A project that was supposed to be just for the Beehives, everyone wanted to do. So when the girls were done with the obstacle course they got to make these adorable fabric ring. I love mine.

Random silly pictures

Girls camp kept us really busy. But of course,we made time to play games, do hair, cheers, and sing songs.

the final few

the last few participants were Megan and Brother Douglass. Some of the girls were able to see a deer as they came down the cross.

2nd group on the zip line

Some girls are heading down the zip line. We have Kisten, Apryll, Milie, Lexi, and Ashley

challenge course-zip line

Wednesday-was challenge course day. The girls rotated from 5 different sections. The big challenge was girls climbed a pole to then walk a tight rope to end up in the zip line.

The girls received direction frome the Senior missionaries before they started and off they went. We can see Riley, Onna, Toni and Lindsey heading down.

Skit night

The girls were in charge of making a skit using a list of words that where given to them. We received a bag of items that they had to also include in their skit. Our girls did a family feud. Everyone did a great job.

One of our girls favorite skits, was Alice in Wonderland. One of the words the girls had to use was schnitzel. When Alice fall in the hole, she was supposed to say OH Schnitzel. Well she accidentally forgot the the N. We laughed all week about that one.

Girls Camp 2010

Girls camp this year was at Heber Valley Camp. The girls road buses up to the site. Ir is runned by full time missionaries. I heard several times that they love their mission-getting to ride 4 wheeler and live in motor homes. Not a bad way to serve.

The girls did a service project-cutting wood. Check out this machine. Now this is my idea of cutting wood. It is pretty cool

Heber Valley camp site.

Our camp director, Stephanie Stuart, with Terri Taylor and Terra Buckway went up to the camp site on Saturday. It was so beautiful and spritual. I think we all walked away feeling like it was going to be a priveledge to be apart of the young women organization and your life.

Bracelet time with Laurel Jessica

Jessica Nuttall shared her beads with the girls to be able to make bracelets. Jessica put them together for us. It was fun to do. Thanks, Jessica.

Personal Progress-Patriarchal Blessings

Sandee did a great job, discussing the topic of patriarchal blessings. We talked about getting them when you are ready spiritually and mentally. You will know when that time is.

Steps to be prepared:
1. Fast and pray about
2. Read articles you can find on Lds.org search patriarchal blessings. President James E. Faust has some great articles.
3. Talk to your parents about it.

YOur patriarchal blessing and is specially just for you. It is the only blessing that is recorded in the church archive.

If you have not gotten and are you feeling that you are prepared be sure to talk to the Bishop.

bowling at WSU

We went bowling the end of March 2010. It was so fun to watch the girls. One of my favorites is watching Onna(I still do not know how she did it) roll the ball off track and hit this bumper and relect back to hit the pins. That is talent. It was fun to also see Apryll and Trinity do some crazy bollowing techniques such as, behind the back and through the legs.

Stake Activity Survivor

Megan Watkins tried so hard to not get her picture taken. I had to post this pic of her. Lucky her she was the only picture that I had before my battery wore out. This activity was great because it involved the stake young men and young women. They went to differnt stations where they competed. One activity they had to throw cherrios into each others mouth and see how many you could get. Another activity was to run across the floor with candy in a spoon and try to get it into a cup. The end of activites the youth put together care packages to Haiti and Africa. It was great to see the donations given.

Our 1st combined activity with YM-obstacle course

The boys are where in charge of planning this activity. We had an obstacle course where we took the basketball and ran through a maise. This was around Valentine's Day. I love that Lyndsey Nisonger came all dressed up for the holiday.
